Dream Diary Page 1 -- Movement of Thought
This piece has two components - the video and the audio narrative. While the video is an art piece in itself, the narrative is a monologue about why this person wants to talk about her dreams and create a dream diary. The purpose of these components is to continuously match and contrast as the work progresses.
Inspired by works like Symphonie Diagonale, Rhythymus 21, and Anemic Cinema, this video was created to open the floor to ideas around the absurdity of the patterns of movement, be it the mind or nature. This work is claiming the duality of - the impossibility of actually controlling either, in contrast to, having utmost control in a cinematic universe. This piece is aimed to foster the desire to see if two wild beasts (thoughts and fishes) can be tamed enough, to go only from point A to point B. Thus, finding or creating an imagined space where one can experience the feeling of being in control.
